I presented recently at Busselton Health Campus with problems with my L eye. I felt the triage nurse was quite dismissive and I felt did not take me seriously. I recall asked was I just after pain relief today? I recall the nurse also said they had enough information, before I could explain I was experiencing visual disturbances.
Was seen by Dr Natalie who quite quickly ascertained I had a probable detached retina. This was confirmed by Dr Andrew, another ED doctor on duty at the time. They quickly contacted an ophthalmology clinic in Bunbury, where I was seen the next day and subsequently had emergency surgery two days after my presentation at Busselton. I found both the doctors to be be efficient, professional and caring . I would like to personally thank Dr Natalie and Dr Andrew for their accurate diagnosis and subsequent action.
