We welcomed our baby girl into the world earlier this month. We are so grateful for the continuous support we were given from the Midwives at Bridgetown Hospital. Particularly Teenz who I feel is so warm, caring and supportive. My care during pregnancy was fantastic and every appointment I learnt new strategies for dealing with pregnancy symptoms and information about birthing and becoming a mum. I also had a student midwife, Georgia who I believe is equally as lovely and supportive and will make a wonderful midwife!
Once my baby arrived, I was so impressed that I had Teenz come on a home visit the day we got home. She assisted with breast feeding and showed us ways to get rid of wind and so much more. She was so kind and I felt really like a friend coming into our home to help out and tell us we are doing a great job. Just what I think new parents need. 💖
Every visit after we have learnt new things from Teenz, Alora and Erika who are all so supportive. Making this transition into parenthood a wonderful one. I feel we are very lucky to have this level of care in our area.
I ended up in Bunbury hospital for the birth due to no theatre team being available in Manjimup on this day (unplanned) which was a huge shame. Hopefully this is something that can be implemented in the future. However, even though I transferred I still had care from Teenz, Georgia and Dr Casper all calling and organising things on my behalf and checking in.
For my next baby I will definitely be having a planned c section in Manjimup so I can book Teenz & Georgia in!
Along side of Dr Casper who I feel also provided fantastic care during and after my pregnancy.
I cannot recommend our Bridgetown/Manjimup health care team enough! Thank you all 💖
