In my opinion, the occupational therapy services in Broome are an absolute joke. I have been waiting over a year for my child to see an OT after looking into every other source of help for them myself. Finally we got an appointment only for it to be cancelled 10 minutes beforehand.

I feel the lack of care and help is absolutely disgusting, let alone to cancel 10 minutes before an appointment someone had been waiting over a year for. As a family we have had to struggle to deal with issues that I asked for help with so many times from so many different people and we got nothing but let down time and time again.

Thank you for providing your feedback. Unfortunately we have waiting lists to access child development and outpatient services, however we do try to offer some options for clients whilst waiting on our waiting lists, such as a referral discussion, drop in advice clinics and parent workshops for access to some supports whilst waiting. If you would like to find out any information about these supports, you can contact our child development service on 9194 2568.
