I was using a wheelchair as I have been everyday since I’ve been admitted in Narrogin hospital as I’ve been sick for a few months and I’ve been in other hospitals on and off but now I’m in Narrogin.
Recently, I was going outside in the wheelchair and next minute I heard my name getting called out in a seemingly angry manner and it was a nurse who stopped me right infront of the emergency department where I felt everyone could see and hear what they were yelling at me about. I recall the nurse said that I don’t need to be in that wheelchair so why am I in it, they spoke to my physio and they cleared me so I don’t need to be in it. I said I do as I feel safer in it as I get dizzy spells and feel fainting all the time due to my illness. And then the nurse went on saying that I don’t need to be here they can discharge me so get out of the chair.
I am so so angry and sad as I’ve been through a lot this year I am suffering from depression but now I feel this nurse has made it worse. I felt so embarrassed it’s just not fair to be treated this way.
