"Time spent in emergency department following a week of gastro"

About: Margaret River Hospital / Emergency Department

(as the patient),

I presented to emergency department after a week of gastro. I was admitted to the department immediately upon speaking to the triage nurse and given a bed in a small room. I felt the care by the nursing staff was outstanding. Was attended to rapidly with a variety of tests blood, urine etc and immediate attention to the fact that I have type 2 diabetes and tests showed I was significantly dehydrated with bsl levels very high. I can’t fault the care I was given and appreciated being informed quickly of test results and reasons why particular drinks were being given to me. I felt well supported and treated with respect .
