"Allied Health"

About: Inglewood & Districts Allied Health

(as the patient),

I ended up in hospital because I was bleeding from the bowel, and 10 operation attempts led to extreme weight loss. I'm now receiving service from the IDHS dietitian, and I'm happy with that my eating has improved, and I can tolerate the foods I need, and Kellie recommends. I have had some meetings with Shanae, the Exercise Physiologist, and she has given me a program to build up slowly. The combination of the programs has helped me a lot after being so weak. Phil has organised my recovery after a month in hospital, and giving me something to do to improve myself after a long illness has been helpful. It has been great to have these services locally, and it's personalised, and the staff I'm working with have been excellent. I can access it quickly a few minutes from home and can be at home again after months in hospital.

Dear Coinkq83,

Thank you for taking the time to share your positive experience with our local health service. I will ensure your feedback reaches Kellie, Shanaye and Phil. Recovery from a hospital stay often involves a long period of rehabilitation, and we are delighted to be able to deliver a lot of these high-quality services locally to our community. Thank you again for reaching out, and I wish you all the best with your continued recovery.

Best wishes,

Alex
