(as a relative),

Recently my 89yr old mother was admitted to Fremantle hospital with aspiration pneumonia and nearly died.  Geriatrician Dr Emma and the whole clinical and ancilliary team I saw on Ward 7 were remarkable. I felt they were very patient focussed, respectful and compassionate with the way they treated Mum but also inclusive and collaborative with the family who had to make some difficult treatment decisions.  Mum pulled through, there was no rush to discharge as assessments and searching was required for an aged care facility.  Nothing but praise and thanks for this wonderful public hospital care.

Dear 'Interstate Daughter’,

I am sorry to read that your mother was very unwell, I am sure it would have been a scary experience for you and your family. I was especially happy to read of the impressive care your mother received from our staff along with the entire positive experience you all had in Fremantle Hospital under the Ward 7 Geriatrics team. While we know that we have a great team of clinicians and support workers in Fremantle Hospital, it is very pleasing that someone like your self has taken the time to let us know of your experience.

Please be assured that I will share your feedback with the Fremantle Hospital Ward 7 Geriatric team along with my added note of thanks.
