"Infected toe after having a ingrown toenail removed"

About: Albany Health Campus / Podiatry

(as the patient),

I had a ingrown toenail removed by my gp them 48hrs later I had to present to Ed with a fever nausea and vomiting then spent the next 5 days in and out of hospital and on one night admitted for iv antibiotics.

Then after 5 days I got referred to the podiatry team and Tep and Julie knew straight away what to to and removed my whole toe nail and found a big piece had been left attached, they were fantastic and couldn’t recommend them more highly.

Many thanks for this wonderful feedback doradoyn78. I couldn’t agree with you more, they are a fantastic team and I would also highly recommend them. I am relieved they were able to remove the whole toenail successfully and the infection has resolved.

The team is able to accept GP referrals for diabetic patients with foot concerns or those patients deemed ‘AT RISK’ of developing complications such as this. Due to your history, it may be worthwhile recommending this to your GP if in future you experience similar issues with your feet. We also have some talented local private podiatrists in the community that you may wish to access if required.

Once again, we appreciate your kind words and I will pass this positive feedback on to Tep and Julie. They will be thrilled to hear that you would ‘highly recommend’ their service.

Kind regards
