Bibbulmun walker here... with an abrasion on shin from debri on trail. One week later of hiking my lower leg is swollen, bruised, and I'm limping with pain into Donnelly River Camp.
Realising that my hiking is no longer possible without help from a clinic... the kind people of Donnelly ferried me to the hospital in Manjimup.
With my health history in hand the capable front desk at the E.R. prescribed some over the counter meds to help my pain and arranged for me to be seen at a local clinic. They also gave me the phone number of a local taxi to help get me there and home to the cabin in Donnelly.
I'm awaiting my medical appointment and hoping for good news of a minor infection perhaps and antibiotics prescribed to get me back on track... real soon.
The staff I saw here at Manjimup Hospital were amazing in their attention and assistance. I noticed the hospital is clean and professional looking. Would expect that if they cared for me here I would be a lucky lass. :) Thank you.
Alas... my story continues at Manjimup Medical Center. Wish me luck! Yeah! Australia!!
