(as a parent/guardian),

My daughter had dental day surgery today. Whilst she was her usual bright and bubbly self, she was nervous. The nursing team intuited this and took great care with her.

As a parent, I was impressed with the whole surgical team’s professionalism and caring nature. I felt informed throughout the whole experience and grateful that I could be with my daughter as she went into theatre and was ‘put to sleep’. Her recovery was great, the nurses we saw attentive and again explained everything we needed to know for her discharge and home care.

Thank you for sending us this lovely feedback on your recent experience at Busselton Health Campus - Day Surgery.

We are very fortunate in the South West to have Specialist Paediatric Dental Surgeons from Perth Children's Hospital visit us each fortnight to deliver care close to home in the South West.

I understand fully that seeing your child have an anaesthetic can be a very stressful time for parents, so I am very glad that you felt well supported and informed during your time with us.

I hope that your daughter has recovered well after her visit from the tooth fairy.
