I was taken by ambulance to the emergency department due to a 10 minute seizure. The paramedics that took me there were really good at putting my mind at ease with their lovely personalities and sense of humour.
I was nervous to come back to Wonthaggi after my last experience with a doctor in the emergency department but this time I didn’t have to worry at all. Unlike last time, I felt respected and safe in their care.
Every health professional around me was really good, in particular a nurse called Scott and a porter named Chris really stood out to me for how much they did to make me feel comfortable in their care.
I ended up being transferred to another hospital after Wonthaggi did as much as they could to keep me safe. Although the hospital I went to treated me far more worse than I had ever been treated, I can look back at this experience and be grateful for all the people in Wonthaggi.
