"Wound care for my non-verbal son"

About: Bunbury / Harvey / Leschenault Community Health Service

(as a parent/guardian),

I would like to thank the amazing staff at Care Links Bunbury Hospital for their incredible outpatient service. Jane and other exceptional nurses have come to change bandages and provide ‘wound’ care after my non verbal and non compliant adult son with Down Syndrome and Autism had emergency surgery for a serious leg infection. He is very resistant to treatment and may have accidentally connected when trying to push staff away and we deeply apologise for that and am so grateful that you have continued to provide care. You are all so wonderful and without this service I’m sure he would have had to go back to hospital if his leg got reinfected so thank you all so much from the bottom of our hearts ♥️ you are earth angels all 😇

Dear tauruszs57,

We are so happy that we have been able to provide care for your son in your home with such a positive outcome.

We are an extension of Bunbury Regional Hospital and the HomeLinks service enables the provision of such care to keep people at home and out of hospital.

We endeavour to continue to provide high standard of care.

Thank you for taking the time to provide us with your feedback.

Kind regards,

Cristina Taucean
