"Midwifery group practice"

About: King Edward Memorial Hospital / Maternity

(as the patient),

I initially planned for shared care with my GP but when my referral was reviewed I was contacted by the King Eddie's MGP team who told me that I was eligible for midwifery group care. I'm so glad I was as my low risk pregnancy evolved into pre-eclampsia at 35 weeks and an induction at 37 weeks but I was able to continue with the team who kept me updated every step of the way. The care and communication from MGP group 4, in particular Holly, was outstanding. I would recommend midwifery group care to anyone thinking about it - a really fantastic model of care.

Dear phasewr67

Thank you for taking the time to share this feedback regarding your experience with Midwifery Group Practice (MGP).

I am so happy to hear that despite the unexpected challenges you faced with pre-eclampsia at 37 weeks, you were still able to benefit from the continuity of care and support provided by Holly and the MGP team. The fact that you would recommend the midwifery group practice model of care is a testament to the team and the high quality care they provide, and I’m sure they’ll be delighted to receive your positive feedback.

Wishing you all the best,

Delaney
