I felt the midwives were totally fixated on sending me home during active labour, and ignored everything we said. Seemingly refused to check, monitor or provide care despite us repeatedly insisting I was having regular, debilitating contractions. Epidural denied despite being requested at multiple junctures. Only allowed us to stay if morphine was given, and still persisted in trying to force us to leave. I felt they would not believe I was in labour, did no physical checks, and tried to send me home again just before the unassisted birth of the baby's head. None of our concerns, bleeding or symptoms were recorded - sections were missing when requested. In my opinion, many strange, subjective observations were recorded instead of actual facts.
