I attended the ORH urgent care department to have my son examined as he experienced ear pain over the past few days and today had a green discharge from the same ear. Lauryn greeted us at the door and made my son comfortable on a bed. After establishing facts around his complaint, Lauryn attended to other patients already present. It wasn’t long before she returned to do observations and check the ears out, and connected to the VVED virtual kids waiting room. While we waited for the practitioner on the screen, Lauryn fetched some Panadol and water - even a water for the parent! My son also had a fresh gravel rash wound on his knee which Lauryn, unprompted, kindly cleaned and dressed while we waited for a response from VVED.
We felt extremely well cared for and looked after.
Lauryn went above and beyond.
After a little wait, nurse practitioner Steve appeared on the iPad and rapidly build a good rapport. Steve talked with Lukas and Lauryn to form a diagnosis and make a plan.
Both Lauryn and Steve provided excellent care. We are very thankful.
