I attended for Endoscopy, (not my first rodeo), however my last experience had me concerned. All was noted on my file as the Doctor even acknowledged the previous incident, which led to small changes to ensure comfort. Thankyou.
I had the Endoscopy. I found the efficiency and care provided pre (during - even though I was under general anaesthetic) and post procedure care was exemplary.
Upon arriving the staff I saw were bright and bubbly as always, then the nursing team doing their checks - happy engaging and always ensuring I and others were OK. I got taken down to day surgery area by the usual gentleman (beautiful happy character in my opinion) who held on to my locker key as I had forgotten to give to nurse team. I found the; Anaethetist- brilliant, Drs, care team exceptional! No praise could be higher. As precaution kept in overnight and on the ward I felt the care provided was just as exemplary. The 24hr care could not be faulted. Staff went around doing all the checks late at night when required but in a quiet fashion, not to disturb other patients. I couldn't sleep all night so I could see and also when they checked in with me. In both areas, any concerns raised the nursing team thought needed attention, they did not hesitate to call the Doctor who was thorough.
I have no words to describe the exceptional care and to praise all your staff I saw for doing a brilliant, whilst difficult task.
Thank you to all involved recently at RPH Endo and Gastro wards.
Outstanding!
