"Care at RPH Ward 4A &4B"

About: Royal Perth Hospital / Short Stay Surgical Unit Ward 4A & Day Surgery Unit Ward 4B/4G

(as the patient),

I was admitted for an operation on left collarbone and felt welcomed and in the right place for great care. First day in for admission and operation. all the girls I saw very caring even though it seemed they had plenty of patients to attend. The operation room staff I saw were great even had great music on arrival. I felt the Doctor and staff were great and keep asking question.

On return to the ward meet and woken by other staff members who give their all. I had a nurse Donna looking after me for the afternoon and I didnt make easy when had brought own tablets the correct way. I felt she went of her way to help out with that.

I saw two great nurses on night shift. Another day shift and Donna returns for more punishment and helped me right through to the time to leave came. Doctors visit in the morning, physio girls, medication nurse all very polite and all made the experience a pleasant one if you call having an operation pleasant. Well done to all involved in my care, keep up the great work.

Dear widow176

Thank you for taking the time to share your story on Care Opinion, describing your recent admission for surgery to Royal Perth Hospital (RPH).

I am so pleased to hear that from admission to discharge you received high quality, compassionate and patient-centred care. RPH is fortunate to have such dedicated and attentive staff who endeavour to make a hospital experience as pleasant as possible, and your kind words validate that we are succeeding in this aspect.

I have forwarded your encouraging words to the Managers and staff across the various departments you have mentioned. I know they will be thrilled to hear of the positive difference they made during your hospital journey.

I wish you all the best with your continuing recovery.

Kind regards

Ben Noteboom
