Food

Food

In my opinion, the food served in Prince of Wales was terrible. Breakfast was fine cereal, bread, coffee or tea and some juice then on lunch and dinner I found was disgraceful it was either soggy or tasteless. I feel it needs to be changed because if this is what is being served to people that are ill I believe it will not help them in any way, I saw many trays will full meals left on them as it seemed to me people can not stomach the food. I feel this would cost the health system tens of thousands of dollars every day and I believe it needs to change. I even received an uncleaned spoon and took a photo if anyone wants to see it.

Also the doctors was fantastic but, in my opinion, about a one in 4 nurses seemed to be competent, the one I had was the best she knew what she was doing no mucking around asking for someone, I was done as quickly as possible. With others they would bring me my tablets but no water or my powders and put them on the desk and not even offer to get them ready, to name a few things dont get me wrong there was some fantastic nurse then there was some very poor ones.

One of the biggest concerns was the hygiene, one time my bed sheets was not changed for 3 days. I recall nothing got wiped down by the cleaner when they did come in to take the rubbish out they gave the floor a quick sweep with some sort of broom and moved on, based on my experience, hospitals need more attention given to my ward as I was amazed by the seemingly lack of hygiene, even the drain in the bath room had a sewerage smell about it.
