About: Lives Lived Well – Watershed Residential Service (Wollongong)

(as the patient),

Relatively recently i attended and completed a detox and rehab course at the Lives Lived Well facility Watershed in Berkeley NSW. My experience of the facilitators and staff was one of being genuinely cared for on an individual level as well as being encouraged to participate in the ‘house’ activities and routines. The Treatment Facilitator assigned to me, enabled me to discover and understand where i was in my life; to explore the negative influences and to reconnect with the positive aspects of my being; truly liberating! All of the group sessions were facilitated in a professional and yet personable manner enabling the residents to gain their own benefits.

The carers and support staff engaged with me in such a way that it was as if i had the support of an extended family, whilst maintaining professional standards.

This, for me, was a wholistic experience which i found enlightening and was truly a watershed moment in my life. I continue to draw on these lessons, discoveries and experiences in my daily life to the benefit of my well being. I truly now have a life lived well.
