My partner was a quadriplegic of 35 years and diagnosed with terminal cancer in October 2023 and given a 2 - 6 months prognosis. He passed away in December 23.He lived in Korumburra and dealt with Gippsland Southern Health Service.
I just want to thank the nursing staff at Korumburra hospital for their amazing care during his respite stay in the acute ward. I would also like to thank the district nurses at Korumburra for their care over many years. They have always been there when needed. The stoma care nurse and wound consultant who assisted with new ideas for his wound management.
Palliative care were also fantastic during the last few weeks and they also followed up with me after my partner passed away. Also to the doctors at the Korumburra medical centre, thankyou for all your care as well. Together this team made my partner's passing very calm, and as pain free as possible. Thankyou again for your great service.
