Extending my admiration and gratitude to the community palliative care team. I believe your team provide an exceptional service. My mother was under their care for over a year while having active treatment and then in the final week supporting our family to provide care at home while she transitioned to her afterlife.
Please know your abilities to be intuitive, respectful, kind and supportive were extremely appreciated. I felt that your technical skills in providing pain/ symptom management and enabling family to navigate pain/ symptom management were exemplary.
Your guidance in prompting our next needs made all the difference. You provided moral support to give us the confidence to see that providing end of life care to our Mother at home was truly a gift that we were capable of and that Mum would greatly appreciate.
To all the team that support families to care for their loved ones at home, I believe you do an amazing service to the community.
