"Care in the ED"

About: Pemberton Hospital / Emergency Department

(as the patient),

I wasn't sure what to do the day of writing this after being sent home from work. I've had the flu/chest infection for 6 days and have been doing everything to combat it. I thought I was through the worst... but no. Going to the ED with flu? Seemed a bit OTT but couldn't get a docs appointment so off I went. I found the nurse there Jo was just utterly amazing. Friendly, understanding, thorough... I can't say enough good things about her. She got the doctor who got me on a nebuliser and antibiotics. I was utterly miserable when I went in and completely happy in the knowledge that I'd been thoroughly looked after. Thank you so much Jo and Dr V.
