I could not be more happy with my son’s amazing Nurses. In the Emergency Department we had Kristy as my son's RN. I feel Kristy was born to be a paediatric nurse. Her mannerisms, interactions with my son, listening to him he felt heard every single time and her professionalism was outstanding. In my opinion, Kristy is being wasted as an ED nurse she should specialise as a paediatric nurse.
Another time, my son’s RN Nurse on the Children’s Ward was Rachael. Rachael has provided my son with exceptional care. Such an amazing experience which has eased my son’s anxiety and PTSD. She has an amazing way of communicating with my son all of the medications and procedures that he had whilst a patient that my son had no anxiety when she was around and attending to his needs.
She remembered all of his medical history to give to the handover staff. It really was so refreshing to see a nurse so dedicated to her patients that she memorises absolutely everything it was flawless.
She helped him get to a point where we could be discharged. Rachael made a competition chart for my son and assisted him with it to make it fun the visual aid she made meant that my son was engaged and wanted to do everything on the chart to achieve the goal which was fantastic.
Rachael is an exceptional Registered Nurse who I feel needs to be acknowledged for her high Paediatric skills. I really hope she gets the acknowledgment and praise she deserves as her professionalism and skill are phenomenal.
