"Radiology injection"

About: Kununurra Hospital

(as a staff member posting for a patient/service user),

I was told recently that my steroid injection would only be done in 6 months. I have chronic pain and need injections within the next few weeks. Due to family commitments I can’t travel to Perth. I feel that the hospital need to look at this.

Dear doradody39,

Thank you for taking the time to provide us with your feedback. We value your opinion and want to reassure you that we are committed to finding solutions to reduce waiting times for these procedures. We are aware and understand there is a need for more frequent interventional radiologists visits not only to assist with alleviating pain but also so that patients can remain in the local area and receive the treatment they require.

If you would like to discuss this further, please reach out to myself, Dr Catherine Engelke, to discuss. 9166 4233

Kind Regards,

Dr Catherine Engelke

East Kimberley Senior Medical Officer
