"Outstanding care in all departments at Sydney/ Sydney Eye Hospital."

I attended Sydney Hospital Casualty dept with an infected hand. I was seen immediately and treatment and investigations began. It was determined that a Hospital stay and a trip to theatre would be required.

I found all staff I dealt with in emergency were wonderful...then I was transferred to the hand clinic and seen by the expert hand surgical team there. With my hand in a cast I was transferred to 1 West for iv antibiotics overnight and theatre in the morning...in fact I spent two nights in 1 West and one in 2 West .. I believe the treatment from the nursing and medical staff was beyond compare. 5 star!!! I found the single room was comfortable quiet and immaculately clean. I found the nursing staff in the ward, theatre recovery were supportive competent and caring on top of their game with skills and knowledge. I felt safe and cared for.

Thank you so much to Nick, Tania, Iona, Aldridge, Reshma. Chris in anesthetics. I felt all staff involved in my care were great. I know I have left nursing staff out and I apologise... A big shout as well to Dr Tyler ...and Kaye. Jill and Peter in the hand clinic.
