After having surgery that I believe wasn't done correctly and has left me quite deformed, for lack of a better word, I have had such a battle with post surgery care.
No markings of any kind were made on my body as a guide so I felt the surgeon flew blind.
I felt I was laughed at when I spoke of my concerns and derogatory comments were made. Conversations and laughter were shared with a colleague in the corridor of the consulting suite.
This is just the tip of the iceberg, unfortunately and I'm in the process of seeking advice as this has created huge psychological worry.
Fortunately, I've been assigned to another surgeon and she is absolutely brilliant. The staff on the surgical ward have been amazing as well.
