"Our Child Health Nurse"

About: Dongara Eneabba Mingenew Health Service

(as a parent/guardian),

My almost 4 year old daughter was telling her 4 month old baby sister, who was getting their vaccination needles today, all about visiting our child health nurse Kathryn . She was saying to her sister how fun it is to go see Kathryn and play with all her toys there, and that Kathryn is very kind and plays songs when it’s time to get needles, and Kathryn helps her to be brave.

Dear Libra91,

Thank you for reaching out on Care Opinion.

It is not very often we get direct feedback from our patients in this age group so I was delighted to read your daughter's positive review of Kathryn’s service and how well they connected during her visit to the clinic. Getting vaccination needles can be a daunting experience for young children and bravery is a big deal so I am sure as a mother you were reassured to see Kathryn expertly interact with your daughter and put all of you at ease.

I have shared your daughter’s feedback with Kathryn and added my own acknowledgement of her great work.

Kind regards

Karen Street
