Had an outpatient appointment at Sydney Eye Hospital. Arrived at 10 minutes early for an afternoon appointment. After waiting for about an hour I realised people that came after me where being seen. I went to the front desk to raise my concerns. It turns out they never gave my file to the nurses and it just sat at the front desk.
I was helped out by a nurse at over an hour after arriving who I felt was very nice and helped fast track the rest of the process. I got into my appointment at a short time later and I left the hospital at over three hours after arriving with a $66 parking fee.
I felt the staff at the front desk were clueless. I thought the nurse that helped fast track me was lovely; I think her name was Irene. I felt the doctors and nurses I saw were all very helpful. I would like to add that when I was waiting to see the second doctor I recall another patient was talking to the nurse because their file was lost at the reception as well.
