A few months ago, my partner and I attended the Positive Birth Program delivered at Esperance Health Campus. We also attended the Positive Caesarean Birth Program via Telehealth. Both programs were delivered by Skye (Midwife - Esperance Health Campus).
Personally, WACHS has impressed me by endorsing these programs. Well done to Kasey for getting them up and running, and to Skye for her outstanding delivery.
We found the programs to be extremely educational in our journey into parenthood. We didn't realise what a massive role it would play when looking back on the birth of our daughter. We encountered a couple of 'change of circumstances' however, credit goes to the program as we approached these situations well informed, empowered and most of all prepared. The information we received during the course was truly invaluable and it assisted us in having a positive birth experience given the circumstances. Without this course, I believe we wouldn't have managed the situation as well as we did.
In my opinion, having the option to attend the Positive Birth Program in person or online is also a great aspect. We live remote so there are many occasions where online is really convenient, however we were able to attend the course in person which was a fun, interactive and informative weekend.
Thank you to all involved in running the programs, with an extra special thanks to Skye.
