About: Mount Beauty Hospital

(as the patient),

Recently I was a patient at Mt Beauty Hospital, my only complaint were the meals I received, my first evening meal consisted of three party pies with a sachet of sauce, next day for lunch rissoles with vegies? they were so hard and tasteless third day no improvement so told staff I would give the meals a miss. I had a friend visit and asked them to get me a packet of cup of soup.

Surely patients and residents of K.V.H. deserve to be feed nutritional and appetizing meals. Do hope this matter can be addressed. As far as Nursing and Environmental staff at Mt Beauty hospital my stay was exceptional.

Thank you for providing feedback about your mealtime experience at Mount Beauty. I am disappointed to hear about your experience.

Our menu is designed by Alpine Health's dietitians to be nutritionally balanced, and they review the menu to ensure it complies with the Nutrition Standards for Menu Items in Victorian Hospitals and Residential Aged Care Facilities (2015).

Your feedback will be discussed at the Food Services Committee, which includes community members, and makes recommendations based on the feedback we receive.

I will be discussing your experience with the kitchen team at Mount Beauty and will remind them to ensure they are following the approved menu.
