18 months ago I broke my femur and was given RITH. The Physio came to my home the day after my discharge to my home. The OT visited the next day. Both were nice people. The physio came around 4 times, the OT only a couple of times as we had all the equipment we required. They were both helpful.
14 months after that, before my bone had fully joined together, the metal inserted the first time, failed with metal fatigue.. So, after another operation to replace that I was discharged back home again.
This time again the physio arrived the next day and the OT a day or so after. The OT again was not needed as again we had all the equipment. The physio, Catherine, was extremely wonderful. She gave me good exercises and explained the reason for each. Catherine was also very helpful with answering all my questions and even made suggestions for questions to put to the medical staff at the hospital. I can't speak more highly of Catherine. Certainly the right, caring person for her job. Well done Catherine.
