"Second bout of knee replacement infection"

About: District Nursing Service (Kerang District Health) Kerang Hospital / Kerang Oncology Service

(as the patient),

After one bout of Golden Staf in my 3-year old knee replacement in December, I had a second bout three months later. Again thirteen days in hospital, three procedures each time, and six weeks receiving antibiotics via a Baxter bottle.

The District Nurses came every morning to check on me, change the bottle, take obs, and record all details in my folder. They were always friendly, very knowledgeable, caring and professional. The service could not have been better.

I now miss them in the morning!!

Once a week I went to Oncology at the Kerang Hospital to have my PICC line checked, and dressing replaced. I received the same excellent attention.

Both groups are a credit to Kerang.
