About: Karratha Health Campus / Maternity Unit

(as the patient),

I recently delivered my second baby at Karratha Health Campus under the new midwifery group practice. The quality of care was exceptional, my midwife Lea was very knowledgeable and made me feel safe in my decisions.

While preparing for the delivery, Lea made me feel well informed about my options available. I was able to safely deliver in the water with her help and guidance. She mentally and physically supported me throughout the delivery resulting in an amazing experience for my partner and I.

The continuity of care I received from this program assured a stress free final weeks of pregnancy and delivery as I trusted my care provider (Lea) and knew we were on the same page about my treatment.

Congratulations on the birth of your baby, and I hope you and the new member of your family are happy and doing well.

I’m pleased you had the opportunity to participate in the Midwifery Group Practice (MGP) which aims to establish and provide a continuity of care relationship between the midwives and the mum.

Your story is a great example this service makes to ensure a positive, and happy birthing experience.

Again, thank you for sharing your story. I will ensure to let the midwifery team, and Lea in particular know of your positive experience.
