"Thorough investigation"

About: Leongatha Memorial Hospital

(as a relative),

A family member admitted to GSHS Leongatha Hospital with 12 weeks on going chronic health, enlarged pancreas and angry gall bladder.  Dr Paul and nurse Cindy immediately ordered a CT scan where there saw adhesion of the bowel, placed a NGT in immediately with positive results.  The Leongatha hospital staff duo worked beautifully together all the while providing excellent bedside manners, at a time that the patient was extremely anxious, due to the ongoing investigation into ill health being mis diagnosed by other services.  The insertion of the nasal gastric tube was very confronting for the client who aged in there mid 60's had never been hospitalised before.

Dear whisperzt95

Thank you for providing feedback regarding the care provided to your family member at GSHS.

I hope your family member is recovering well.

It is lovely to hear that Cindy and Dr Paul did such a great job, particularly with the insertion of a Nasogastric tube - which is never pleasant.

I will ensure that the staff receive this feedback, which I know that they will very much appreciate.

Regards

Lou
