Constant feeling of nausea leading to regular bouts hiccups during eating and reflux in evening after dinner and particularly when going to bed and lying down.

I arrived for my appointment secure in the knowledge my admission details had been received weeks earlier and my confirmation and been made the day before. My file was on the front counter and ready to go with a very enthusiastic welcome greeting.

It was not long before I was ushered into the consulting room with another enthusiastic smile. My heart rate was normally low but my blood pressure was higher most likely due to feeling a little anxious about the procedure ahead.

At every step of the process I was greeted with a warm smile and sometimes a quick joke. By the time I was wheeled into the theatre my blood pressure had relaxed to a normal and more acceptable figure.

Much of the same as I was welcomed into theatre with smiles and a relaxed atmosphere and before I knew it I was sitting up in Post Op being offered a sandwich and coffee.

It was not long before I was led to the consulting room again and the doctor gave me the news and again being very complimentary and efficient.

My next appointment was booked and confirmed within the hour providing me much comfort my journey to good heath was on path.

All in all I could not have asked for a better experience with the South Gippsland Health Service.
