I was admitted to this hospital over a weekend recently via the emergency dept- i was met with professional, kind and exceptionally caring ED staff who did everything possible to make me feel valued, heard and respected. In particular the triage nurse (Irish girl) and my nurse in ED who i believe was called Carol- absolute professionals- my wonderful doctors who were kind and caring.
I was then admitted to ward 6 where i was cared for by Emma, Pushpa and Rutendo and Cara who were exceptional nurses- demonstrated absolute professionalism, empathy, kindness and understanding of my situation- i felt like i had been treated like a VIP.
My theatre orderly, Maria (i think) was so positive and kind-
My initial anaesthetist (Declan) what a wonderful kind, patient caring man- and his assistant who was so thoughtful.
I then had another anaesthetist as i was "bumped" due to an emergency and she was truly amazing.
The theatre team who were supportive during my anxiety, kind, understanding and made me feel so much better in my time of need.
My surgeons, were brilliant.
I am ever so grateful of how i was treated in this hospital- i too am a nurse and the managers of these staff need to know just how much of a wonderful job they all do - they are exemplary nurses, and i would be so proud to be their manager. Thank you from the bottom of my heart for how well you all treated me. I sincerely hope each of you are told just how awesome you are
