"Intervention Neurology Mr Tim -SCGH"

About: Sir Charles Gairdner Hospital / Neurological Intervention and Imaging Service WA

(as the patient),

Last month I was operated on by the Exceptional Team at NIISWA (Neurological Intervention Unit) to treat a 6mm brain Aneurysm.

The Team of highly trained and exceptional medical staff is headed by Mr Tim - to say I was terrified was an understatement! but all of the staff and nurses were so wonderful and reassuring that it made the process a little easier.

The after care in ICU  was just amazing with two nurses providing post operative care that was second to none. After I awoke, I was moved to Ward 66 critical care unit where my nurse Reani could not do enough to make me comfortable and reassured.

Prior to my release from Hospital Mr Tim came into my room to introduce himself to my husband and I -As the Head of the unit I was surprised that he came himself, and not a more junior Doctor (who are all highly qualified also) he was just so approachable-  he explained the process and so very helpful and reassuring.

I am eternally grateful for Mr Phillips, his highly skilled associate doctors, anesthetist's, and amazing theatre nurses- you all gave me a second chance at life.
