I am a patient at the Cystic Fibrosis Clinic of Westmead Hospital, NSW, and I would like to provide feedback regarding recent communication issues. Over the last 6-12 months, the communication from the clinic has significantly declined. Responses to texts and emails are delayed, often taking several days. This is particularly concerning as I understand the clinic is about to undergo changes in their communication methods, and I fear these changes might worsen the situation.
For instance, I sent an email recently regarding the dosage of my medication and have yet to receive any acknowledgment or reply. This lack of prompt communication makes me feel like just another number rather than an individual receiving personalized care.
Additionally, when I contracted Covid-19 back a couple of months ago, I informed the clinic via phone, yet I did not receive any follow-up calls to check on my wellbeing. This apparent lack of concern was surprising and disappointing.
I hope this feedback helps improve the communication and overall patient care at the clinic. Thank you for your attention to these matters.
