"Sporting injury requiring further treatment"

About: Hedland Health Campus / Emergency Department Karratha Health Campus / Emergency Department

(as a parent/guardian),

My son was involved in a sports accident needing him to lay flat as he hit his head and hurt his neck.

The staff a Karratha Health Campus were very kind and supportive explaining everything along the way. He had xrays and they consulted with specialist in Perth. He needed to be admitted while waiting for RFDS as their CT scanner wasn't working which they were very apologetic about.

We were transferred to Hedland Health Campus the following afternoon where he had scans and further investigations and treatment.

His care was amazing, from the Doctors and Nurses that looked after him in both Emergency Departments to the Ward staff of Karratha Health Campus. We were transferred to Hedland Health Campus the following afternoon where he had scans and further investigations and treatment. We felt included and my son was well cared for. Thank you.

Dear mumofsportykid

On behalf of the Operations Manager at Hedland Health Campus and myself, I would like to thank you for your positive feedback regarding you and your son’s recent experiences in both our hospitals following his sports injury.

It is great to hear that your experiences in both hospitals left you feeling supported and attended to in a professional and supported manner, with inclusive and clear communication especially given the complexity of your son’s injury.

Please be assured that your feedback will be passed on to the teams that cared for you both.

I hope your son is continuing his recuperation without any further issues

Thanks again

Regards

Matt Wells
