How the hell in 2024 can the Peel Health Campus Emergency Department be adequate? 

We’ve moved from a small country town and I’m disgusted, I believe the triage desk is in the worst spot making the line up out the door.

How can 30 chairs be enough for sick patients waiting for a busy emergency department?Please tell me there are some renovations coming and changes being made?

In my opinion the nurses so far have been rude to people just concerned for loved ones. 

At the time of writing this story we were finally triaged and waiting which is absolutely fine but I imagine I’ll have more to say by the time this ordeal is over.

Thank you for taking the time to share your story on Care Opinion. I was very sorry to read of your recent experience at Peel Health Campus and sincerely apologise that we did not meet your expectations on this occasion.

Please be reassured that all staff employed by Ramsay Health Care are required to follow the Code of Conduct, which includes ensuring communication with our patients and visitors is respectful, empathetic and professional at all times. I was saddened to read that you felt this did not occur on this occasion. I have asked the managers of the emergency department to remind all staff of the importance of communication and the impact this can have on our patients and their loved ones.

I want to assure you I take your concerns very seriously and would like the opportunity to investigate your unfortunate experience thoroughly.
