Unbelievable. Not since the 1970s have I experienced this service from a government agency, except once 5 years ago, both times the PATS office.
Zahirah took my forms and processed them! Not one barrier, no 'wrong form', no 'go and do it again', no computer says no. Just made it happen. I didn't have to wait, beg, plead, cry or shout to get my reimbursement.
I allowed an hour, came with pages of evidence and prepared for the usual government agency battle. Within 10 minutes, I was out the door with the reimbursement hitting my account within days. Zahirah even rang to remind me to email the receipt!
I commented on the excellent service and Zahirah said, 'I always think: Imagine if it was your gran! She needs the money'.
Wow. Hey Centrelink! Listen to this. Why can't every agency work like this?
