"Cardio Rehab program at Fiona Stanley Hospital"

About: Fiona Stanley Hospital / Cardiology, CCU and Ward 4D

(as the patient),

I was referred to the Fiona Stanley Hospital Cardio Rehab program after I had a heart attack. In my late 50s my confidence and mental health suffered significantly. The program is designed to assess you health post heart attack and teach life exercise skills. The Physio team led by Emma was nothing but incredible. The program runs for 8 weeks (twice a week) to increase your strength and overall fitness and cardio health, I very much enjoyed the program and helped me on my journey for better health and to ultimately live longer. It was also good to share the experience with other heart attack victims to motivate each other.

Well done to the team at FSH - this program is nothing but amazing and based on my experience I recommend it to anyone in the same situation.

Dear sunvd78,

I’m sorry to hear of your heart attack and the profound impact it had on both your physical and mental health.

However – what a joy to read of how far you have clearly come via actively participating in your prescribed cardiac rehabilitation – well done to you!

I will share your kind words with both the cardiac team and allied health team who facilitate the cardiac rehabilitation. I’m sure they will be very happy with your feedback.

Thank you for taking the time to share some positivity.

Warm regards,

Neil Doverty.
