"Ignored at Radiology"

About: Kalgoorlie Health Campus / Medical Imaging

(as the patient),

I went in to radiology department last week and was highly annoyed by the two staff members on the front.  They saw me standing there for almost 15 minutes, didn’t acknowledge me or the other people waiting and I found this highly annoying.  

I believe one was on their personal phone while the other was fiddling with papers.  If it wasn’t for the other staff member who was further around in the corner, I feel we would probably be still waiting.  So to the staff member hidden in the far corner recently, thank you for acknowledging not only myself but others who were also waiting.

Dear Tomcat

I am sorry for this experience. It must have been frustrating. I know that the team in medical imaging has been working hard to improve their workflows and customer service.

However, I am heartened to hear that when needed, one of the other team members stepped up to help you and the others waiting. I hope you were able to have the imaging you needed quickly after this.

This is feedback that the team can reflect upon and learn from, so, I will make sure it is passed on.
