(as the patient),

I would like to say a massive thank you to all of the staff in Kal HDU. 

After being flown to the hospital via RFDS, the team made me feel so safe and secure being so far away from home.  I was involved in my treatment plan from the second I came to the ward. This plan changed a lot during my stay in order to keep me in the best position medically and the communication from the team was absolutely outstanding. 

The nurses advocate for their patients in a way I have never seen before in a “regional” hospital. They genuinely care from the bottom of their hearts. 

Thank you HDU Kalgoorlie - you are amazing

Thank you so much for reaching out to provide feedback on your recent admission. I hope you are now back at home and feeling better.

I know being acutely unwell and requiring hospitalisation for yourself or a family member is a very overwhelming experience. When it involves an emergency transfer to another facility away from your home and support network too, it can be very traumatic.

To hear directly from a patient that our team is delivering truly patient-centred care with open communication and helping to make our patients feel safe and secure makes me very happy. I can’t wait to share this feedback with the team.

Please rest up and look after yourself as you recover and don’t hesitate to reach out if there is anything else we can do to help.
