"Kalgoorlie HDU PCA’s"

About: Kalgoorlie Health Campus / High Dependency Unit

(as the patient),

My family would like to say a huge heartfelt thank you to Lou and Anita for all of the love and care you provided while I was in Kalgoorlie HDU.

Being flown away from your family while you are unwell is so hard both mentally and physically.

Lou and Anita both made the time spent away from my Whanau an incredibly wonderful and warm experience.

Lou’s smile lights up the world (she also makes the best Milo’s ever), and Anita’s laugh and sense of humour is absolutely contagious.

Thank you, beautiful ladies.  You helped me to feel less alone, super safe and kept my soul shining by giving me a light at the end of the tunnel while I was in your care.

You both genuinely care for the patients in this ward, and I feel that’s not something you see every day.

I believe both of these ladies are an absolute asset to the HDU team and they deserve to be recognised for their mahi day in and day out.

Again - we can’t thank you both enough xx

Dear Farmerswife

Thank you for taking the time to personally acknowledge Lou and Anita. What a blessing they are for patients from our community, both near and far!

I am so glad they were able to help you during this difficult period, as you are so right, being flown away from home for emergency health care is such a difficult experience.

I agree they are both amazing and genuinely care for their patients, working hard to make an awful time just a little brighter.

I will make sure they are acknowledged for their work.

Please rest up and look after yourself as you recover and don’t hesitate to reach out if there is anything else we can do to help.

Kindest regards

Alicia
