I suffer chronic and extreme abdominal pain that is still being explored. Very slowly I might add as it seems the public system is a joke but when you live regionally it's even worse.
I presented recently at the end of the week & then again two days later with unbelievable off the chart part. I was told it may be my gallbladder- to which they found 'a small amount of sludge'... but basically told its nothing.
When my blood tests came back - I can see that yet again you have seemingly failed to notice and mention acute pancreatitis. This is the 2nd time this has happened.
I would like someone from the hospital to call me, or for someone to schedule my appointment with a gastro specialist faster because right about now im ready to either go to the newspaper, or put in a negligence complaint. I'll do an official report/complaint separately.
It's been a year of extreme pain. I feel like I am dying every single day only to be seemingly fobbed off and told to take endone. I appreciate that there's a process, and you have to see certain doctors but at no point has any dr tried to admit me or dig deeper into what the hell is wrong with me. In my opinion, if I was a dog you would put me down. It is not fair to expect someone to live in this amount of pain and do 0.
I believe you have not made a big enough effort. You have not supported your regional patients when they are at their wits end. I think you should all be ashamed of yourselves.
In my experience, so much stuff gets missed at this hospital. It's not ok. I believe this town deserves better.
"Unhelpful ED."
