My partner had a mild heart attack running a few weeks ago...a huge shock for someone who exercises a lot, eats super healthy. Never smoked, never done drugs and is a nice person....bad family genes suck ! Anyways he was admitted to JHC ED and subsequently CCU via Joondalup urgent care. It was decided he needed a triple cabg as the occlusion was 95% and not in an area that was able to be stented.
He was then transferred to CCU at SCGH to await triple cabg by the cardiothoracics team. The care received in the CCU was amazing ( thank you all) and the care in theatre incredible ( sorry...cannot remember individual names...bit overwhelming/ drowsy. The care in ICU was incredible...thank you so much Jane and Justine...the most incredible nurses...
He was then transferred to G62 HDU Cardiothoracics ward...the care received here was exceptional! Amazing Amazing people who are so so caring, empathic, professional, dedicated and extremely highly skilled. In particular thank you Maddy P, Juby, Amber, Amy, Lucy who were the incredibly amazing day nurses....so caring and empathetic. Thank you night nurses Sionaed and in particular Joe and Selinda...amazing RNs who helped him through a night of horrible disgusting very scary hallucinations..
Thanks Emilio too the happy AIN who supports this very special nursing team...what a team you have their! Thank you so so much from the bottom of our hearts ( pardon the pun!) the amazingly incredible competent dedicated drs who work so so hard and seemingly expect very little in return...they are here so so early in the morning and leave so late...thank you Mr Rathore (surgeon) Dr Nathan, Dr Sally and Dr K (registrars) ...all incredible human beings...sorry cannot remember and of the residents but thank you too...thank you so much kylie the physiotherapist for getting me moving...kind compassionate caring dedicated so professional and empathic ( same for her student Kristen)
Thank you all so so much for your help...words alone cannot express our truly deep appreciation.
If we could say one thing to the management of SCGH/ KEMH/ state government... we believe you need to support these amazingly dedicated and exceptional staff more ( this comes without prompting by the way....just listening to comments ...nothing else to do!).... it seems the parking issue is a huge huge issue for staff ( especially ones with children) and the parking traffic is ridiculous for staff ...adding time to their daily commutes....please build a better parking system and maybe not charge staff until it is so sorted...I believe it would be a huge injustice if management at SCGH lost any of these hugely valuable staff due this....thank you for taking the time to read this compliment and thank you everyone so so much
