(as the patient),

I only have one major regret about the process I went through to deliver my baby who had died inside me at 20 weeks gestation.

I delivered my baby still inside the caul and I really wish my midwife had suggested that I take a photo of my baby inside the caul before they tore it open to remove my baby. This would have made a special keepsake and memento for me. I would like midwives who deliver stillborn babies to make this suggestion to women as I'm sure many women would say yes and appreciate the recommendation.

I am sad that I don't have this photo to treasure the memory of my baby and the wish I had to protect her.

I very much regret that were not offered the opportunity to take a photo of your baby while being in the caul, which would have been a precious keepsake for you.
