I was admitted to bunbury hospital with possible food poisoning was my belief, after 5hrs i was released home to find within 2hrs i vomiting π€’ uncontrollably, black, brown clear and so on, i put up with this for 4 days, the pain was unbearable i could not take any more, my partner took me to the doctors who then checked me over and insisted hospital, admitted through emergency department, on closer investigation they informed me that i had a blocked bowel not food poisoning as suspected....
After 5hr emergency operation the surgeon had removed 80cms of bowel, repaired a hernia and removed my appendix, surgeon explained to me that my bowel was closed off by the hook in my body which had not dissolved in my childhood, apparently its what holds system in place while we are growing from child, boy, to man. My operation took place at Bunbury General Hospital and i was released a few days later to start recovering from this incident that came on within minutes...
i can honestly say that i would not wish this procedure on my worst enemy... what i would like to say is, that i cannot thank the surgeons, doctors, pain relief and the hospital enough... my biggest thank you is for the nurses on surgical ward Bunbury they are absolutely amazing π the most caring people i had the pleasure to be under, when I was on the ward i was in room 13 which I thought may not be in with a chance, superstition but in fact it was the opposite, i also spent time in room 9 with more rehabilitation... for me to thank the nurses individually is so hard, but all I can say is thank you, thank you from the bottom of my heart, sometimes words are just not enough, these nurses are all fantastic and amazing the government and world do not understand, they are worth more than what they receive... once again ladies thank you for saving me, my life, my body my sanity.
