Casey - Upon arrival we were greeted by Casey at triage, she was wonderful, patient, and very understanding of the fact my partner has a phobia of hospitals, she then got us straight through and into a room off to the side to avoid all the noise and hustle of ED, we appreciated this. When trying to do my partner's canula we mentioned that previously nurses have used him like a pin cushion which led to bruising and he doesn't normally bruise. She listened and said she'd give it one good go, but if she was struggling shed find someone who is good at cannulating. She gave it one good go and then passed on to someone who was able to get it. The way she carried herself, even 10 minutes before knock off was that she wanted to be there and help. Had many other experiences with nurses who give off the "I don't want to be here" vibe
If every experience at GRH was with someone this compassionate and dedicated to their job it would be amazing.
